Currency Collection Fundraiser

Currency Collection Fundraiser

Friends of Glenfrome is excited to launch a foreign/old currency collection, which will be running for this term, until the Easter break (2nd April).

We are working with a specialist organisation that supports schools by collecting and exchanging unwanted coins and banknotes, including foreign and out of date currency, and returning the proceeds directly to the school.

What can be donated?

We can accept:

  • Old UK coins (including coins no longer in circulation)
  • Foreign coins from anywhere in the world, of any value
  • UK and foreign banknotes (including out-of-circulation notes)
  • Pre-decimal and pre-euro currency
  • Mixed or unsorted coins and notes — no need to clean or sort them

Please note: only genuine currency items can be accepted (no tokens, vouchers, or non-currency items).

How to take part

  • Children can bring donations into school at any time during the campaign
  • Currency can be given to class teachers or dropped into the school office
  • All donations will be collected and sent to our currency exchange partner
  • Funds raised will be returned to Friends of Glenfrome to fund vital upgrades to AV technology in the school hall

Children can bring donations into school from now on – even very small amounts when added together will help!

Thank you for your continued support – we’re excited to see what we can raise together with this new fundraiser!
