Everything FOG does happens because parents and carers like you come forward. It could be an hour on a stall, a cake for a sale, a skill you can share or a place on the committee. Tell us a little about yourself below and we’ll be in touch. It doesn’t commit you to anything, it just helps us know who to ask.
Ways to help this year
Christmas Disco
11 December. Each disco needs around 12 adults to check the children in, be friendly “bouncers” on the doors, run the tuck shop and help supervise. An hour or two is all it takes, and the discos can only go ahead with enough grown-ups.
Christmas Fair
28 November. Could you run a game or a craft table, help on a stall, reach out to private sellers or donate a prize? A few families getting together can make a whole stall happen.
Cake and after-school sales
Bake something, help set up, or spare an hour on the day. First up is the Spooky Cakes & Bakes sale on 23 October, with an Easter bake sale to follow in the spring.
Team Glenfrome 10K / Half Marathon
Run, walk or cheer with Team Glenfrome at the Bristol 10K and Half Marathon in May, or help rally sponsorship for those taking part.
Summer Fair
Our biggest event of the year, on 19 June. Planning starts in March and there are jobs of every size, from a single hour on the day to running a stall or activity.
Grants, funding bids and sponsors
Good with words, or know a local business? Help us apply for grants and community schemes, or find sponsors for our events. This can be done from home in your own time.

Join the committee
Behind FOG is a small group of parents who take on the committee roles that keep the charity ticking along. We’ll soon need a new treasurer to look after the financial side. There’s no need to have done anything like this before, we can work it out together. Mention it in the form above or come along to a FOG meeting.
